Yesterday, I received pictures that Neelabh had clicked during Parul’s 3 day wedding in Gwalior in July end this year. She had also opted for photo-books but because she could not select pictures from the 900+ that Neelabh had shared with her, she asked us if we could do that on her behalf and show an album soft-copy. I decided to take care of doing the layout but because all the high res pictures were with Neelabh, he put in them in a pen-drive and send it off to me.

So this post is basically few pages from the overall album that I just finished designing (and which will go for printing once Parul approves of it). Hope you like them. During these three days that Neelabh was shooting Parul’s wedding, I was busy in this one .

Artistic Candid Wedding Photographers – Gwalior story

A photo book is where candid wedding photography really proves itself. On a screen, almost any sharp picture looks fine; in print, only the frames with genuine emotion survive. That is why we treat the album not as an afterthought but as the final edit of the whole wedding.

Parul’s Gwalior wedding gave us more than nine hundred usable frames across three days — the haldi in the family courtyard, the evening ceremony, and a reception that ran well past midnight. Cutting that down to the sixty or seventy pages of an album is slow work, but it is the work that matters.

Our layout rule is simple: one story per spread. A spread about the bride getting ready, a spread about the groom’s arrival, a spread about the first dance. When the sequence reads like the day itself, the album stops being a stack of prints and becomes the wedding told again.
